Nature Nuts

Places to stay

Blairgowrie is set in the lovely Perthshire area known as Strathmore. It is an ideal base for visiting a multitude of attractions whether it be wildlife orientated, walking/hiking, visiting castles or pretty much whatever you fancy. Below are some ideal B&B's that I can highly recommend.

Rosebank House is run by my neighbours Jim and Aiofe, a lovely couple who are fantastic hosts.

The Lantern is another lovely B&B local to me. Donna and Cameron are just lovely people and offer a lovely stay.

Bamff estate is awesome and with such friendly hosts in Paul and Louise you can't go wrong.

A9Birds

If you are travelling north from Blairgowrie and fancy a birding tour, check out this operator. Mike Crutch takes birdy tours in the highlands and is really well worth a visit. Osprey's are his speciality among many others and you can find his details here http://www.a9birds.com/ or on his facebook page https://www.facebook.com/a9birds/?fref=ts. A9Birds offer guided tours for beginners and expert photographers with a large variety of species to choose from.

Persie Gin

Simon and Chrissie run Persie gin distillery, a family run business. The distillery currently produces 3 types of gin and all are very tasty indeed but my preference is the zesty one. I may have a taster for non drivers at my woodland hide and I'm sure you will enjoy it. For more info check out the website http://www.persiedistillery.com/
